Press
Applications for accreditation from the official press and the private press to cover the activities of the 11th Brics Parliamentary Forum should be made as described below.
Permanent press credentials from the Chamber of Deputies and the Federal Senate will not be accepted.
Official press accreditationFor accreditation purposes, the official press is considered to be the press officer, cameraman, photographer or similar, directly linked to the authorities present.
Accreditation will be coordinated by the DAO, using the same accreditation system dedicated to the official delegation. Members of the official press must be registered under the designation "Media" in the "Role" field of the accreditation system.
The official press accreditation badges will be handed out together with the official delegation badges.
Note: Members of the press from broadcasters and government agencies must be registered as private press.
Private press accreditationPrivate press professionals interested in covering the forum should apply for accreditation by filling in the form available on the following page https://brics.br/accreditation/media.
The accreditation system for private press professionals will be available until May 2025.
Due to security considerations and space limitations at the meeting venue, the number of press credentials to be issued will be limited, taking into account the need to ensure the presence of as many media outlets as possible and the capacity of the venue. Therefore, an application for accreditation does not guarantee that the press pass will be approved.
The credentials, which are personal and non-transferable, will be handed out at a place, date and time to be announced in due course.
EquipmentThe procedure for the temporary admission of press equipment is regulated by the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service. Goods belonging to members of the official press must be declared on a printed form, included in the annex to IN RFB no. 602/2005. It is advisable to fill in a single form per delegation, including in the list all assets to be admitted to national territory. The form can be accessed via the following link: click here.
Further information can be found on the website: click here.
For the assets of private press professionals, the declaration must be made individually, using the e-DBV electronic form, which can be filled in even before arrival in national territory, via the following link: click here.
Private press professionals appointed as part of foreign delegations by means of a note verbale from the respective embassies or Ministries of Foreign Affairs can also use the form attached to IN RFB No. 602 of 2005 for the temporary admission procedures for their equipment.
